Speaking to the Daily Trust at his house at Marabar Demishi village located few kilometres from Maraban ‎Rido in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state, the father of the suspect said his son has been a Christian and not a Muslim even for a single day.

Samuel Ezekiel says his son, Nathaniel Samuel, is a Christian Source: UGC Ezekiel said his son does not bear the name, Mohammed Sani, as is being claimed in some reports.

The father of the young man said he was surprised when he learned that his son attempted to bomb a church. Earlier, Legit.ng reported that what could have turned out as a large-scale tragedy was on Sunday, February 2, avert after Samuel was discovered and arrested by policemen.

Eyewitnesses at the church revealed that the suspect, whose identity is yet to be made known, was with IED in one of the toilets when he was detected by CCTV and exposed.

It was also disclosed that this is not the first time the suspect is coming to the pretence in the guise of being a member of the parish. In another report, Catholic Bishops of Ibadan Ecclesiastical Province have charged President Muhammadu Buhari and others in the position of authority to address the insecurity situation in the country.

The Bishops specifically urged the president to“wake up and do more than pay mere lip service to the issue of security in Nigeria.
