– His support comes barely a few weeks after he revealed he traced his roots to Nigeria Bishop T.D Jakes has become the latest influential American to lend his voice to the movement for the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of Nigeria Police Force. The movement which has been backed up by nationwide protest has attracted the attention of many international stars.

He shared a post with the write up ‘Nigerian lives matter‘ and accompanied it with a quote by Martin Luther King about injustice.

This comes a few weeks after Bishop Jakes revealed he traced his roots to Nigeria and discovered that his ancestors were Igbos.
The renowned man of God made the disclosure during an interview with BBC Igbo, where he said he has the major attribute of the Igbo tribe, which is hardworking. Meanwhile, a few hours ago, award-winning American rapper, Kanye West, took to social media to show solidarity and support to Nigerian protesters calling on the government to end the SARS unit of the police force. He continued by saying that the government must listen to the cries of the people and end police brutality.
