Adebayo Tijani was born on March 24, 1975, in Lagos, Nigeria. He is from the Nigerian community of Agbole Alubata in the state of Oyo.
He is reported to be a member of the Bata Drummers family, however he has stated that he is unable to play the drums.

Adebayo Tijani began acting and producing films when he was the President of a Theatre Group in the early 2000s.
