Chinedu Ikedieze, MFR (born December 12, 1977) is a multi-talented Nigerian actor, entrepreneur, and serial investor known as Aki.
He is best known for co-starring with Osita Iheme in the majority of his films following their breakthrough as a duo in the 2002 film Aki na Ukwa.
He has appeared in over 150 films spanning over two decades. Due to his stature and physical appearance, he played the role of a child in the majority of his early films.
Chinedu Ikedieze is known as Aki because of his role in the film Aki na Ukwa. He married fashion designer Nneoma Nwaijah in 2011, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2012.

Early Life and Education
Chinedu Ikedieze was born in Amaeke Arochukwu, Abia State, Nigeria on December 12, 1977. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ikedieze Ogbonna, both from Nigeria’s Igbo tribe.
Chinedu Ikedieze attended primary and secondary school in Aba, Abia State. After finishing secondary school, he went on to earn a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Theatre Arts and a degree in Mass Communication from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu (IMT).
He wanted to be a lawyer after finishing his studies at IMT, but he pursued a career in film acting in 1998, beginning with small roles. He debuted in a minor role in the 1998 film Evil Men. In 2004, he enrolled at the prestigious New York Film Academy.
Chinedu Ikedieze Career
Chinedu Ikedieze debuted in Nollywood in 2000 and rose to prominence in the 2002 film Aki na Ukwa, where he played the pivotal role of Aki alongside another diminutive actor, Osita Iheme.
Since the film’s release, the duo has been dubbed “Aki and Paw Paw,” and they have appeared in several films as leads together. Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme have both maintained onscreen and offscreen chemistry, which has been widely praised by the Nollywood community.
Chinedu Ikedieze, speaking about his rise to stardom and how an actor can maintain the status quo, said celebrities are meant to be flashy because it’s part of the showbiz. Maintaining a celebrity, he says, requires being true to yourself and not attempting to live the same lifestyle as in movies, especially if you can’t afford it.
Chinedu Ikedieze advised fellow actors to stay grounded and return to default mode after making flashy appearances in movies, Red Carpet events, or wherever the occasion requires fabulousness in order to avoid hitting rock bottom.
Personal Life
On November 26, 2011, Chinedu Ikedieze married his lovely wife Nneoma Ikedieze in Lagos. It was a grand event attended by distinguished guests such as several movie stars, top politicians, and the Governor of Abia State.
The couple allegedly met in Lagos while working on a movie set; Nneoma Ikedieze was the costume designer. Working together fostered friendship that grew into intimacy. Their traditional wedding took place on November 26, 2011 in his wife’s hometown of Isala Mbano, Imo State.
A few years into their marriage, the couple appeared to be content and were spotted on vacation in Paris, France. Despite rumors of divorce spreading on social media, Chinedu Ikedieze said there was no such thing.
Although the marriage has yet to bear fruit, the prospect of having children is also a top priority.
Contrary to popular belief, Chinedu Ikedieze does not currently have a son or daughter. He does not have a child.
Awards
Chinedu Ikedieze received the African Movie Academy Awards’ Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. He was also awarded the Order of the Federal Republic by then-Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan in recognition of his contributions to Nollywood and the country’s economic growth.
In 2018, he was honored as a distinguished visitor to Miami, Florida, in the United States of America. “From the bottom of my heart, I thank Miami-Dade, the country office of the Mayor, and the county commissioners for honoring me as a distinguished visitor to the city of Miami, Florida,” he said. You’ve just given me the key to greater success in life. As a result, he encouraged everyone to believe in themselves if the rest of the world believes in them.
Legacy
Chinedu Ikedieze’s performance in the 2002 film Aki na Ukwa, alongside fellow little person actor Osita Iheme, is still widely discussed. Since 2019, the duo, wildly Osita Iheme’s character, has been trending through memes on Twitter and other social media platforms around the world. Osita Iheme is one of Nigeria’s wealthiest actors.
