On April 2021, Princess Comedian accused fellow Baba Ijesha of raping her foster daughter who is a minor. She claimed, Baba Ijesha had defiled the girl while she was just 7 years old but they let it slide since there was no concrete evidence.
So she placed a CCTV in her apartment, by then, the daughter was already 14 years old. In her statement, she had claimed she accommodated Baba Ijesha who needed help and had nothing. Fast forward to 2021, the CCTV captured Baba Ijesha sexually assaulting her 14 years old foster daughter whose name and pictures have been kept away from the public diagnose.
She brought it to social media and call the help of the Lagos Police who immediately intercepted by arresting the culprit who is now a confirmed pedophile.
The case became a social media drum as several celebrities were dodging in having their say. Celebrities like Tonto Dikeh, Tunde Ednut, Yomi Fabiyi, Iyabo Ojo (mother to Priscilla Ajoke Ojo) also had a say and protested he get arrested.
The CCTV footage was leaked to Police who claimed it is not a case of rape which they reported. The Lagos State Police also claimed the case is bailable. Since there was a public outcry, Baba Ijesha was forced to remain in Police custody.
A video was leaked which saw Baba Ijesha admitting to the crime and pleading for forgiveness. Later, the CCTV footage was leaked to Nigerian Newspaper, Punch Newspaper whose statement described the video in text format, following Punch’s publication, it was confirmed that he assaulted the minor sexually who was resisting the advances.
