William Ouko Early Life
William Ouko was born in the Kenyan town of Siaya on November 21, 1962.

As he progressed through his profession, he eventually became the Judiciary’s Accounting Officer.
In 2002, he was appointed to the position of Registrar of the High Court.
After being appointed to the office two years later, in 2004, he became the Judge of the High Court. He was then appointed to the position of Court of Appeal Judge in 2012.
He has over thirty-three (33) years of experience in the legal field. William Ouko has also worked as the Goldenberg Commission of Inquiry’s joint secretary.
He was awarded the highest service awards in the country – Elder of the Burning Spear and Chief of the Burning Spear – for his excellent achievement throughout his service days.
He was elected by his peers to succeed Hon. Justice Paul Kihara Kariuki on March 9, 2018.
This occurred when the tenure of Hon. Justice Paul, who had been appointed to the office of Attorney General of Kenya, came to an end.
