He is one of the few acknowledged individuals in the Nollywood industry, known for his multidimensional skill and delivery.

Early Life & Education

Femi Branch was born on May 14th, 1970, in Sagamu, Ogun State, Nigeria. Otunba Gbolade and Chief Mrs. Modupe Osunkoya of Odosenbora Town in Ogun State’s Ijebu North-East local government area are his parents.

Femi Branch’s parents were city teachers when he was growing up in Sagamu. He received his First School Leaving Certificate from Satellite Town Primary School in Ojo, Lagos State, Nigeria.

Femi Branch went to Air Force Secondary School in Ikeja, Lagos State’s metropolis, after finishing primary school and earning his West African Senior School Certificate.

He attended Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, after completing his secondary school education, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dramatic Arts.

Career

In 1991, Femi Branch began his career at Obafemi Awolowo University, the same year he appeared in the Yoruba theater production Eniyan.

He was later featured in a film called Orisun (which means “Origin”), which was made by Obafemi Awolowo University employees.

Nonetheless, his first television appearance was in an MTN Group commercial named “Dance with Me” in 2003.

Femi Branch was most known for his role as “Oscar” in the Nigerian serial series Domino. He has since appeared in over a hundred Nigerian films, producing and directing a handful of them.

Ibitola Owosanoye Branch was Femi Branch’s wife. Nuella Branch and Nathan Branch, their two gorgeous children, are the fruit of their union.

He debuted his new bride at his installation as the Jagun Asa of Edeland in March 2018. The Timi of Edeland, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa I, crowned the actor Jagun. This indicates that he is a monarch or chief.

Femi Branch was prosecuted in court in 2015 for allegedly issuing a 1.5 million naira dud check to De Santo Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
