During the most recent preseason game for the Blaugrana, the French winger was at his deadly best.
Wednesday’s match between Barcelona and Juventus featured two stunning goals from Ousmane Dembele, who put on a show in Dallas. The winger scored in the 34th minute and then repeated the feat six minutes later, getting the Cotton Bowl crowd on their feet.
Even though Moise Kean also scored twice for Juventus, the Blaugrana were ultimately beaten to a 2-2 tie, but Dembele stole the show with his electric performance in the opening 45 minutes.
After a spectacular solo run during which he bamboozled Juan Cuadrado and Alex Sandro with his dribbling prowess, Dembele scored the game’s first goal. After outmuscling the two defenders, he fired a shot at the near post that Juve goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was unable to stop because it was too hot to control.
Although Kean quickly restored Barcelona’s lead, Dembele gave them a new advantage in the 40th minute. This time, too, Cuadrado and Sandro fell prey to his cunning as he dribbled past both of them before shooting into the bottom corner.

What did Xavi have to say about Dembele’s play?
After his contract with Barcelona expired on June 30, 2022, Dembele was on the verge of quitting the club. The Frenchman was, however, bound for a further two years after several rounds of bargaining because he agreed to a rumored pay drop.
Xavi, the manager of Barcelona, was happy to keep the 25-year-old on the team and wasn’t shocked by his most recent performance against Juve.
Dembele has been tasked by the Spaniard to perform better and more frequently as he is considered a “special” talent.
After the game, Xavi commented, “He has demonstrated what he is capable of, creating a difference from the right wing with one-on-two movements.” “He is a unique talent who adds a lot to our team.
“He needs to contribute, be more reliable, and score more goals. Dembele is someone I didn’t know before, but ever since I’ve been here, he always seems joyful and says he’s working on the project. Since I’ve been observing him in this manner since November, I’ve pushed for him to stay.
