Mr. Ibu Biography
John Ikechukwu Okafor (born October 17, 1961) is a Nigerian film icon who is well-known around the world.
Mr. Ibu, in all forms, is a well-known Nigerian actor, businessman, and comedian.
He is also a musician who has released a few songs.
Mr. Ibu Okafor is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most talented and well-paid comic characters. His comedic acting is frequently marked by stupidity, hilarious silliness, and a sharp disconnect from reality.
Early Life and Education
Mr. Ibu Okafor is from Nkanu West L.G. in Enugu State. He was born on October 17th, 1961. Queen Chioma Egboh is his sister’s name. He is not dead, but he is still alive.
After finishing elementary school, he moved to Sapele to live with his brother following his father’s death in 1974. In Sapele, he worked menial jobs to pay for his education and support his family.
Mr. Ibu Okafor then worked as a hairstylist, dabbled in photography, and worked for a crates company. He was admitted to the Yola College of Education after secondary school but dropped out due to financial difficulties.
As soon as he could afford it, he enrolled in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT).
Mr. Ibu Career

He previously worked for Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS). He was a member of the cast of the soap opera Ogbu Anyanwu and Kwere Kira while he was there.
In addition, John ‘Mr. Ibu’ Okafor used to be a martial artist. He studied Shotokan Karate for 16 years and earned his black belt in 1983. He is also a member of the Nigerian Karate Federation.
According to him, he was the first instructor to teach Karate in Nigerian federal government colleges. Mr. Ibu Okafor was a trader in the past. He worked with a few of his friends.
They purchased secondhand shoes, shirts, medical equipment, and other utensils from Niger and sold them in Nigeria.
Personal Life
Mr. Ibu Okafor is currently married to Stella Maris Okafor, a model and actress. Their union has produced four children: Emmanuel Mandela Okafor, Chelsea Okafor, and Jay Jay Okafor.
His hobbies include driving, cracking jokes, playing draft, and watching football, which he said he and his wife do a lot of together. He is the father of four children.
