Noah Centineo began his acting career in 2009, when he starred as Josh Peters in the family film The Gold Retrievers. Following that, he appeared in minor parts in the Disney Channel comedies Austin & Ally and Shake It Up.

In 2014, Noah Centineo co-starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie How To Build A Better Boy, in which he played Jaden Stark. In the same year, he featured in the Disney Channel comedy Growing Up And Down as Ben Eastman, but the show was not renewed for a second season.

Noah Centineo landed the lead role of Jesus Adams Foster in the Freeform drama series The Fosters in 2015. He made his first appearance in the third season episode Lucky, which aired on August 17, 2015.

Noah Centineo was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in 2017 for his outstanding performance in the category of Choice Summer TV Star (Male). In 2018, he went on to star in three Netflix original teen comedy flicks. The first was as Peter Kavinsky in the romance film To All Boys I’ve Loved Before.
