Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie (born 27 May 1990), professionally known as Patoranking, is a well-known Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter.

He began his music career by collaborating underground with XProject, Konga, Slam, and Reggie Rockstone. In 2010, he signed a record deal with K-Igberaga Solo’s Records and released “Up in D Club” under the label.

Patoranking became a Dem Mama Records protégé after working with Timaya on his song “Alubarika.” He signed a record deal with Foston Musik in February 2014 and released “Girlie O,” a single that catapulted him to fame. He collaborated with Tiwa Savage on the Girlie O remix.

Patoranking announced on Instagram on February 9, 2015, that he had signed a distribution deal with VP Records. On September 28, he released a song called Abule ahead of his album, which was set to be released later that year.

Patoranking’s Early Life & Education

Patoranking was born and raised in Satellite Town, Ijegun-Egba, but has family roots in Onicha, Ebonyi State. He was born on May 27, 1990, which makes him 31 years old.

His Career

Patoranking released a single titled “Iya Bisi” in May 2012, featuring Qdot and Kbaj. Drumphase produced the song, which is a fusion of dancehall and fuji. He told Entertainment Express that Qdot and Kbaj contributed to the composition of the music by exchanging ideas.

On September 12, 2013, he simultaneously released the audio and video for “Alubarika.” Timaya’s vocals are featured on the song, which literally translates to “God’s Blessings.”

Patoranking appeared alongside Shaydee on Seyi Shay’s “Murda” single. Dokta Frabz produced the song, which was released on April 1, 2014. The music video for “Murda” was released on Vevo on May 11, 2014. Meji Alabi directed it for JM Films.
