The 65-year-old tactician now demands interest on his dues from the neighborhood organization.
The 69-year-old German coach filed a complaint with Fifa, asking an additional £1 million for contract breach “without reasonable cause,” which the international governing body reduced to $377,879.46.
Fifa went a step further in May and mandated the NFF pay Rohr within the following 45 days.
According to Fifa’s judgment to the NFF, getting a portion of development financing will be restricted unless all outstanding payments are paid “in full payment [including all applicable interest] within 45 days of notification of this decision.”
However, the 45 days have already passed, and Rohr claims that he hasn’t received anything. He is now requesting that NFF pay him with interest at the current exchange rate for the dollar.
However, Rohr has disqualified himself from bringing the case before the Court of Arbitration for Sports.
When asked if he would pursue the matter further, he said, “No, because typically Fifa gives a guarantee for payment.
After five years in command, Rohr was fired as Nigeria’s coach on December 12, 2021.
