‘We Will Be Using Drones To Fight Banditry & Kidnapping’ – Ekiti State Government Reveals

The Ekiti State Government has revealed that they will be using the latest technology to fight banditry and kidnapping in the state.

According to the state’s government, it will be purchasing drones and this forms part of measures to curb the insecurity problems in the state. This was made known by the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning of the state, Mr. Femi Ajayi. He made this disclosure in a recent submission as he discussed the breakdown of the 2021 Appropriation Law with a budgetary provision of N109.666 billion. In his submission, he indicated that the state government has projected N550 million to purchase these drones so the state can tackle all armed robbery, banditry, kidnapping, and other security problems. He also stated that N1.4 billion will also be used to fund the Ekiti State Security Network code-named Amotekun Corps.
